RéAL2 network

ReAL2 : Réseau thématique d'acquisition des langues secondes

This network brings together researchers and lecturer-researchers working in universities and laboratories in France, whose work focuses on second language acquisition. Research in second language acquisition (RAL2) is characterized by diverse theoretical and methodological approaches. The aim of this network is, therefore, to highlight this diversity through a comparison of findings from a variety of approaches and methodologies. In addition, the network aims to consider these findings from a language teaching perspective, and to develop an educational/acquisitional interface. A further, long-term goal is to create a database combining acquisitional corpora of oral and written data from past and ongoing projects, whose corpora are often dispersed in multiple locations and inaccessible to the wider scientific community.
