Séries verbales "directionnelles" en créole martiniquais
Anne Zribi-Hertz et Loïc Jean-Louis, SFL/UP8-CNRS
(pdf-abstract) (pdf-handout)

  • un volet descriptif-synchronique centré sur MQ : analyse et classement des formes illustrées en (2), qui illustrent selon nous 4 structures syntaxiques différentes ;

(1) A Serial Verb Construction (SVC) is

  • a. an arguably monoclausal 'construction' (Haspelmath 2016)
  • b. where at least two items identifiable as Verbs are combined,
  • c. and none of the verbs serves as an auxiliary to another (Muysken et al. 1978:125);
  • d. one single event is denoted (Osam 2003; Bohnemeyer et al. 2007),
  • e. with only one TMA specification (possibly spelt out on both or all verbs),
  • f. one polarity specification (possibly spelt out on both or all verbs),
  • g. no overt coördination or subordination marker between the Vs,
  • h. no prosodic break between the Vs.
