Prosodic features in Ecuadorian Siona

In this presentation, I will provide a comprehensive analysis of the features that contribute to
the prosodic profile of Ecuadorian Siona. First, I will examine the role of nasality across different
prosodic domains. Next, I will analyse the domains in which pitch is a determining factor,
considering its effects at the levels of the word, phrase, and sentence. Finally, I will argue that at
least in verbs, an iambic foot structure is evident. To support this claim, I will discuss the
behaviour of verb stems, as well as the occurrence of preaspiration and glottalization.
